I know I haven't really posted a lot lately but that is because I was working for school all the time. I like posting videos though cuz it's not a lot of work and doesn't take long to write a short text what it's about :))
Yeah I know I'm lazy and I should probably put a little more effort into my blog... but it's fine the way it is and there haven't been any complaints so far.
This video shows a very good stand-up comedian by the way. I don't want to tell you more, because one -I don't have a lot of time right now and two -I think you should see for yourself. Subjects include affluent roommates being a musician, Pimp my Ride, being searched for drugs and much more.
There's another video of him but I guess I'm gonna save that one for later. So enjoy this one before it is 'no longer available' like all the others... I don't know why they become unavailable... but it sucks. I mean, how are people supposed to stay interested in my blog when every time they try to watch a video it tells them that it's no longer available? That's kinda frustrating. Both for the readers of this blog and for me. Oh, whatever. So you better be quick with watching new videos before they disappear forever

Blogthings!!
Same day, second post.
I have lately enjoyed blogthings. I sat in front of my computer for hours and hours taking these tests. It's so much fun! You answer several questions and find out a few things about yourself. These tests are just for fun though and shouldn't be taken too seriously of course, but check this out:
Question: 'Are you a girl or a woman?'
And this is what it told me:
You Are A Woman!
Congratulations, you've made it to adulthood. You're emotionally mature, responsible, and unlikely to act out.You accept that life is hard - and do your best to keep things upbeat. This makes you the perfect girlfriend... or even wife!
okay... I am supposed to be the perfect girlfriend... then how come I don't have a boyfriend??
Not all tests are worth to be taken though. I'm not sure if I have to know what color orange I am ;-) ...
Anyway, sometimes you really find out something about yourself. I answered quite a few questions of quite a few tests and found out that ( mostly ) the results were true. I even posted some. You can find them at the very bottom of this site.
Take some of the tests and if you feel like it, share your results with me.
I'm always curious about what other people get. Especially when I know you ;-)

I'm getting the impression that I'll have to get used to apologizing at the beginning of every post. Or write more regularly. Ok, so once again: I'M SORRY
Some of you might even start to think I'm lazy ... right, Steve? ;-)
Okay, now here's a newsflash: Some of you already know that I'll be going to the USA in Spring for 2 weeks namely to Massachusetts/New York and California. With my family. Great. I'm sure it's gonna be an experience but I won't be able to do or see the things I want to, so...
I'll travel to the USA in Summer again to see different places. And I'll be going without my parents. Just with a friend of mine. Her parents are acquainted with several people living there so we can stay at their homes. I don't know where exactly they all live... one was in Pennsylvania, another one in Texas... not sure about the others. We will probably travel a bit within the country since we have six weeks' time and stay with different people. But before all that my friends' parents, my parents and my friend and me have to meet to discuss what we want to do during our trip, planning a route and my family ( including me ) will want to know where and with whom we will be staying. I'm not to worried about that because although I have never met these people or seen pictures or anything I'm pretty sure I'll get along with them well.
For all the interested readers of my blog I will continue posting about the developments concerning the USA trip...

The Daily Show - Check-in with Stephen Colbert
Now, I know that one day everybody will be sick of seeing all these videos on my blog, but I just LOVE these American comedy news shows! Of course, I also know some people might not find this as entertaining and funny as I do... Yeah, well... I can't help it if these people don't have any sense of humor AT ALL. I WILL KEEP POSTING ALL THE VIDEOS I LIKE, PERIOD. Maybe you won't like it but I can post whatever I want. And I love Stephen Colbert's comedy and Pirates of the Caribbean, so this one had to be published on my blog. Seeing Stephen dressed up and acting like a pirate is awesome!

School life
I guess you have all been waiting for my next post and I'm sorry for the delay. I don't even know where to start... Okay, I'm back to school again. And it's completely different from the way it was. I now go to the highly recommended 'Oberstufe'. For everybody who doesn't have a clue what that is: it's supposed to be the best part of the German school career. Maybe because it's the last part... Anyway, after elementary school German parents can decide how difficult they want their child's life to be. They can either send it to a 'Hauptschule' = easy, 'Realschule' = not that easy anymore or a 'Gymnasium' = difficult. 'Hauptschule' goes from 5th grade to 9th grade and after that you're free to do whatever you like. You don't have to go to school anymore. If you want to continue learning you can either start an apprenticeship or ( if you had good grades ) go to a 'Realschule'. 'Realschule' goes from 5th to 10th grade and the 'Gymnasium' from 5th to 13th grade. After 'Gymnasium' you have reached the highest school education you can get. If you still feel you haven't learned enough you can go to study at a university or College.
Now, back to MY education. I'm in the 11th grade right now and my parents had decided to make my life difficult after 4th grade, so I have visited the 'Gymnasium' for 6 years so far. Now, according to what I have experienced in my first three weeks I gotta say that I LIKE IT! Learning is getting more difficult all the time of course but I have made new friends and it's fun to pass the lessons with them. In the 'Oberstufe' I also had the possibility to choose 3 subjects I wanted to study harder and to drop 2 subjects completely. I chose English, German and Geography as my study-hard-subjects and dropped Physics and Chemistry completely, the two subjects I liked least ( if we don't consider math, because that was a subject I had to keep due to some stupid rules ). Alright, I'm getting sick of talking about school sooo... I'm just gonna end this here. Maybe I'll write another post soon but until then read the 14 posts I've made so far and greetings to everybody who reads this and I guess it's not gonna be my family because they can't remember the internet address. Or perhaps they're just not interested. Whatever.

The Colbert Report: Episode 29 (Dec.12,2005)
Here's something for your entertainment while I'm away.
WARNING: THIS IS AN AMERICAN SERIES MADE FOR PATRIOTIC AMERICANS. DO NOT WATCH IF YOU'RE NOT AN AMERICAN AND EASILY OFFENDED! Otherwise enjoy, because it's really funny. I'm not American, but this is great!

Going to England again
Tomorrow's the day I have been waiting for for so long. My family and I will finally travel to England for 10 days... To the South where it's supposed to be a little warmer and where all the tourists go. I've only been to North-England before to visit relatives and I can tell you: That is not the part of the country you wanna live in. Unless of course you enjoy isolation or you are a sheep. Beautiful landscape but nothing else.
Now, the South is a lot more lively with big cities and sandy beaches. I don't know what else to say about it because I don't know any details and I have only been in London so far.
Anyways, my suit case is packed, I put all the songs I need on my mp3-player and I got a new haircut ( My sister didn't like it of course, stupid 'Stinknudel'. She always disagrees with me. Still, my mom said it looked good... Some support at last.:-)) I really hope the weather's nice in England. If it's not ....... We'll lets just hope it is. :-)

Why me?
I just bought Brad Paisley's CD ''Mud on the tires'' for 7,76 € over eBay... :-) I had to get it after hearing that song ''Whiskey Lullaby'' and some other songs featured on the CD. Still, it kinda sucks that I have to buy over my mom's account. You see,the thing is if I want something I always have to ask her if she'd be so kind to let me bid for it and I can only hope that she's in a good mood... Yes, she is a very moody person ( sorry, mom, but you really are )... One of the things to put on my 'Things-To-Do-When-18-List': '- get own eBay account'
You know, I could go on like this forever but I'm getting a little tired and I can already hear my mom saying ''CARINA!!! I ALREADY TOLD YOU TO GO TO BED 30 MINUTES AGO! NOW GET GOING OR I'M GONNA WAKE YOU AT 6 IN THE MORNING TOMORROW!!!''. ...like she did several times before...

Brad Paisley - Whiskey Lullaby
Alright, this is a beautiful country song, one of my favorite country songs since today. This video is what made me post today. I just had to share it with you. And, it is beautiful, yes, but also terribly sad. It made me cry more than once. You can tell me what you think about it if you like.

( Finally ) I'm on vacation!
Okay, I know I haven't been too busy with posting but hey, the holidays started yesterday ( weekends don't count ) and I really didn't feel like posting. Still, you didn't miss anything important. I lately discovered the world of YouTube thanks to Kitrak ( thank you! ;-)). It's a very entertaining page where you can find all sorts of videos. So I decided to post one of my favorites from time to time. You can see my first one below. I think some more music videos will follow. I'll post the next one right after I've finished this.
Uhm... okay, I think that's it. Told you nothing exciting happened.
But YouTube is really cool. I've found all the music videos I've been looking for for so long there!
And I can watch them over and over again... :-))

events of the past week
Alright, here I am again. It's been a while since my last post and a lot has happened...
1. I guess everybody noticed: Germany is NOT gonna be world cup champion anymore. We lost the game against Italy last tuesday... At least we have the chance to be third-best by winning against Portugal this evening. if we don't win that game I'm gonna be really pissed... So, now Italy and France can fight over the title. Whatever, we'll be back 2010! Just you wait...
2. My family and me were invited for dinner yesterday at Steve's new apartment. Well, it's actually not his apartment, but he shares it with some other guys. For all the people who don't know who I'm talking about: Steve was our exchange student from the States for 3 weeks. He's been in Germany for almost a year now to study German politics. At least that's what he's supposed to do... but actually life as a student doesn't seem to be to hard. He spent half the time travelling to other cities and European countries. If you wanna find out more about him check out his blog.
Anyways, he cooked for us that evening ( with a little help of his girlfriend Colleen who is also in Germany to study ) and desperately tried to thicken that Polenta of his... at that moment he had been standing in the kitchen for several hours already and we had to assure him that the Polenta was great the way it was ( and we weren't lying. It really tasted very good )
3. It's only one more week 'til the summer holidays start. All tests are written and all lectures held. YEAH! On monday and tuesday will be the conferences for the school reports. If there'll be any homework, I guess no ones gonna do it anymore. I mean, who can blame us?
4. On 4th July me and my mom went to a barbecue party of the 'German-American society Trier'. First and foremost to get to know some Americans and people that love the States as much as I do :-). We already have some connections ( see 2. ) and we are invited to an American-German ''Polterabend'' in two weeks. A ''Polterabend'' is something non-existent in any English-speaking country and therefore there is no English term for it. To quote from a dictionary: 'Party at the house of the bride's parents on the eve of a wedding, at which crockery is smashed to bring good luck'. That's gonna be pretty cool because all the groom's ( American ) relatives and friends will be there aswell of course... ;-).

WE WON!
Germany just won the match against Argentina! I didn't have time to watch the game because I went shopping in the city. I was buying myself a diet Pepsi when all the shop assistants came running to tell everybody that the game was over and we won. On my way home cars were honking everywhere and people were going crazy, carrying huge flags and screaming like lunatics... I wanted to honk aswell but my mom wouldn't let me... She even wished Germany had lost because then people would finally remove these little flags from their cars :-).
Anyways, I'm glad we won. If we win the world cup, I'll be going to a party. Although I don't even own a flag... Anybody there, who wants to invite me to a party?? :-))

In English from now on
I figured a lot more people could read this if I wrote everything in English... If everybody apart from my sister will EVER read this... Oh, well, maybe somebody will stumble upon it by accident one day... PLEASE!
Since I am German and lacking a dictionary at the moment it could happen that you'll find a German word in an English text...

ENDLICH!

Oh Mann...
Hallooo!!!
Ach, meine erste Homepage! Jetzt kann ich ja alle wichtigen Dinge hier rein stellen. Hab ja schon öfter Blogs gesehen, aber nie selber sowas gemacht. Hoffe, ihr kommt mich mal besuchen auf meiner Page!
